The D1 Multiple-Entry Visa is officially for tourism, family visits or social purposes. It is ideal for frequent travellers, including business professionals attending meetings or conferences, but it does not permit employment or direct business activities within Indonesia.

Each entry allows a stay of up to 60 days. After 60 days you must exit Indonesia, then re-enter for another stay of up to 60 days, within the visa’s overall validity period of 1, 2 or 5 years.

The D1 visa is issued with 1-year, 2-year or 5-year validity. You choose the option that matches how often and how long you travel to Indonesia — within each validity period you may enter as many times as you like, staying up to 60 days per entry.

No. The D1 visa must be applied for and issued while you are outside Indonesia. It is an entry visa, not a stay-permit extension. If you are already in the country, we can advise on a tourist visa extension or the right onward pathway instead.

Most nationalities are eligible for the D1 visa. A small number of countries face additional checks or restrictions. Send us your passport nationality and we will confirm your eligibility before you pay anything.

The D1 visa is applied for through a licensed Indonesian guarantor. We act as your guarantor and handle the sponsorship requirement for you, so you do not need to arrange a local sponsor yourself.

Typically a passport valid for at least 12 months (for a 1-year visa) or 18–30 months (for longer validity options), a recent passport-sized photograph, proof of funds, a return or onward ticket, and a statement of purpose. We send you a tailored checklist once we know your nationality and chosen validity.

Processing times vary with document completeness, nationality-specific checks and immigration workload, but applications are often processed within a few business days through the eVisa system.

The D1 visa is issued electronically (eVisa). Once approved, we email you the PDF to carry on your phone and to print — there is no need to hand over your passport or visit an embassy.
